November 22 This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 1 John 5:6-8. We have a God who has experienced all that we know. Jesus was born in water from his mother, Mary. He was baptized by water in the baptism of John the Baptist. His blood was shed on the cross, and out of his side flowed blood and water. The Holy Spirit is constantly bearing witness of all of this as He speaks truth to our spirit. The water, blood and the Spirit are in total agreement. As we meditate upon this truth, how amazed we should be to realize that the very creator of the universe has chosen to become a man—the perfect man—to walk and experience the same life we endure. Thinking upon these things makes me want to kneel in praise to Him. Words cannot be found to express our thanks. We will attempt to speak these praises in eternity future, but we will never consider the process complete. Father, all of our purposes here on earth are fulfilled within these Scripture verses. It has all been done by Jesus. Let me meditate and pray upon this message today as we walk and face those around us on this earth. I do not need to think or plan of any works—Your Holy Spirit will instruct me as we go forward. Out of this relationship will come the guidance toward the service You want. I am available today to be used as You see fit. Thank You and Amen. |
