November 11
Therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith
into this grace in which we stand; we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not
only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation
brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven
character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been
poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans
5:1-5.
We need to be thankful everyday for being at peace with God. Yes, we are totally
accepted and loved in Christ Jesus. It is sad to see some Christians who have
not truly discovered this truth. We have been introduced into the life of
faith—all because of His grace. That in turn produces hope—the expectation of a
glorious eternity with Jesus.
When we look at tribulations and the many problems that come our way, it is so
easy to say “enough,” Yet that is an earthly, fleshly way to look at life. As
God molds us into the image of Christ, we begin to realize that we are
progressing through times that produce patience and proven character that are
Christ-like. Yes, there is hope for us—all because of His grace.
Today, Father, I thank You for making all of this possible. Your work is
complete in Christ. We are learning a life of faith, one that does not depend
upon what is seen but instead upon what is not seen. Yet there is no hope in any
other way. All glory and love and truth are in You. Let me discover more of
Jesus as I face today. Amen.
