June 4
Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the
blood of Jesus---let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of
faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies
washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:19, 22a.
Oh the joy of entering into Your holy place! The veil has been torn so that even
I may enter. The blood of Jesus has made it so. You have given me a new heart;
one that is sprinkled clean from the stains of the world system—one that is
continually in tune with Jesus. Let me listen to that new heart with a purpose
to follow You more closely and to proclaim Your life to the world.
Left to my own resources I would carry a guilty heart before You. The joy would
be gone as I dwelled in my own condemnation. But there is no condemnation in
Christ. Your Spirit has set me free. Let me see Your hand in all that I do and
say. Let me trust in Your guidance and grace alone. I can call on You as a
friend and companion, for there is an intimate bond between us in Your holy
place. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
