Mar 13
O sing to the Lord a new
song, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have
gained the victory for Him. Psalm 98:1.
As I face the trials of this
world, and the many distractions and choices that lead me onto the wrong path, I
find it difficult to sing to the Lord. Yet I know that it is because I am
relying on self. I have lost sight of what the Lord has already done.
I am only focusing upon what I must do, or what I think should be done.
We need to learn to give thanks in all things, particularly as we
contemplate the things God has revealed in His Son, Jesus. We owe
everything to Him, and there can be no room for our feeble attempts at victory.
Today, dear Jesus, let me see
only what You have done in my life and the lives of those around me. My
purpose in the body that You call Your church, is only to reflect Your life and
its love and grace. Forgive my attempts at planning my life in a manner
that would not please You. I seem to be surrounded by those who do not
understand Your ways, yet it is often I who does not understand? Thank You
for Your patience as You work Your will into my life. Amen.
