June 6 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18. It is God’s purpose to transform man into His own image. He will never deviate from that purpose. Adam sinned and we became a fallen image. That would never satisfy God, so He has provided His Son as our image. Yes, Jesus is the new Adam that accomplishes all that God desires. It is a spiritual mirror that we are asked to look into. From a physical position, we see the image of left and right reversed. But put on your spiritual ‘glasses’ and begin to see that your life has indeed changed. We are becoming increasingly aware of God working in our lives. We are seeing prayers answered, and whether they are indicating yes or no we are remaining in praise of God’s ways. We are seeing our relationships with others improving, so that we even know in advance of their needs. We are more aware of how to satisfy the longings of others, and we reach out in love at just the right time and place. So, my friend, be amazed at how you are changing into this new image. We continually give thanks to God for these changes, for we just did not like the way we used to be. We know that all things are now working together for our good. The old is passed away. Thank You Father for Your patience and love directed toward us. You are in pursuit of a new image for us, and we anxiously await our revealing. Thank You again. Amen. |
