June 16

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8.

I often do not know what is good or bad. The world system can hide its motives, and it is clever with disguises. Bad can be made to look good. But you, Lord, have made it clear to us-- if we are to do good we are to walk humbly with You. In a very real way You also produce the humility within us, through Jesus. He alone is humble, yet You have offered Him to me by faith. I claim that promise, and I look to Jesus as the source of all justice and kindness in my relationships with others.

Lord, each day is a new opportunity to walk with You. Place me in the right places to reveal Your presence to others. I will meet new faces and not fully understand what it is that You want to reveal. But I will trust You to produce the justice, kindness, and humility that will fulfill Your purposes. There is no other way. Yes, Jesus, You are the way. Amen.
