July 7
Make me know Thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth and
teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:4,5
It seems my whole life will be used to know the ways of the Lord. Sometimes I am
a very poor student. I search for truths in all the wrong places. Yet there is
Your persistent call—You are there for me each day--ever watchful and waiting
for me to respond.
In this world we are continually bombarded with falsehood. Our youth, as well as
the mature, say there is no truth. A popular phrase is to accept “whatever
works” as the guide to our life. Well, I have found that nothing truly works but
Your works.
Today Lord, continue to pour Your salvation message of truth into my life. I
will learn to wait on You. I will learn to think on what You have already done
before I rush into situations that I do not understand. The way of the cross is
before me, and I know that it will strip away everything that it is not useful
to You. Thank You, Lord, for Your salvation and truth. Amen.
