Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for the Lord God
is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2.
We often think that salvation is a process—one in which we perform certain acts
worthy of attention. Yet, it is really a free gift—it is the very person of God.
When I accepted Jesus as my Savior, having recognized that He died for me at the
cross, I received all that the Father could give—His very Son came into my life.
Jesus alone is the personification of my salvation. Everything that is His is
also mine.
I can trust in Him and not be afraid. It is almost humorous to try to think of
things that would cause fear. For the very Creator of the universe is living
within our hearts. Can I fully understand this? No, but I can have the faith to
accept this as fact, for He has said it is so. My heart can celebrate with a new
song, and there is His strength in the midst of my weakness.
Thank You, Lord, for this incredible gift of life. Thank You for the grace You
have extended to us, for without it we would be condemned and lost forever. All
praise goes to You this day and every day. Show me how to bring the salvation
message to all that I may encounter. Amen.
