But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works. Psalm 73:28

There seems to be nothing more prominent in the Word of God than the promise that He wants to share His life with us. We are the earthen vessel that He has chosen in Christ. His Holy Spirit comes to live within us—not temporarily, but forever. And we also live within Him—He is our refuge. His works are constantly toward us so that we may minister to others. We tell of His works by what we do and what we say. Most importantly we tell of His works by who we are. All the praise goes to Him. My faith is all I can offer.

We are prone to say that this person or that person is “good”, as if we understood what good really is. Yet Jesus, Himself, said that no one is good except the Father. Hence, it is my nearness to Him that is the source and expression of good. I will settle for nothing less.

Thank you, Jesus, for expressing Your life in mine. Be my life today and allow me to tell of Your good works—whether by word or action. Amen.
