Do not complain, brethren, against one another, that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door. 2 Corinthians 5:9.

Dear Father, why is it that we want to complain against one another? We get so frustrated over gossip and twisted truth, and we want to lash out and correct the error. We so easily see the apparent fault of others, yet the log in our own eye looms so large. Help me this day to avoid comparisons with my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I can not really walk in their shoes, and I really do not have the capability to judge. I can only stand for truth—the absolute truth that You alone provide.

You always discipline those whom You love (Hebrews 12:5-11). I long for the peace that Your discipline can bring. I know discipline will not be comfortable, but in the long run I will see Your purposes and I will be closer to Your heart. Thank You for Your love that goes beyond my understanding. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
