And He was saying to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Luke 10: 2

The Lord is our faithful vine keeper and harvester. He alone can tell the tares from the wheat, and it is He who waters the soil. But He has chosen us as workers in the field. We become His hands and feet as He reaches out to an unsaved world. Why do we shirk our duties when the Master calls? Could it be that we think there are more important things to do? What can be more important than calling on the sick and the shut-ins? Widows, prisoners, and the poor need our help. These times seem to be pointing to the return of our Lord—we can not wait or allow us to be diverted to worldly tasks.

Help me today Lord to be aware of the needs of others. The true servant, whom Jesus has demonstrated, should be found in the harvest field. I sincerely want to participate, so I count on you to shape my priorities and my actions. Thank you Lord.  Amen
