Building Your Ark

Do you ever sit and wonder
what person you can trust
to help you make decisions,
to do the things you must?
Someone who understands
what happened in the past,
your problems of today
and future joy that will last.
I have a friend who meets those needs,
there is nothing to compare
to the way He comforts,
and the way He cares.
His name is Jesus,
and His promises are sure.
There is no situation
that with Him you can not cure.
His love heals the past,
brings assurance for today;
a bright, exciting future
if we follow in His way.
For you see our God goes with us,
before us and behind us,
so others will see Him
by the way He holds our trust.
Noah followed God—
what an impact His commitment has had.
His ark made to scale just as God had said.
Two by two they entered,
just before the rain began,
so when God closed the door,
to the ark and all were in,
God was laying the future
for Noah and his clan.
So today just remember,
if you don’t understand,
the ark you are building
is the one your God has planned.
